Attack on eastern MR-3 information

Description: The attacks in western MR-3 were quickly followed by heavy attacks in the eastern portion against ARVN positions along QL1 and QL20. Heavy fighting subsequently shifted to Xuan Loc. Here four NVA divisions commenced attacks in order to defeat the ARVN defending there and to gain control of the main highway QL1 approach through Xuan Loc to Bien Hoa and Saigon. The ARVN swiftly reinforced and fought valiantly but they were badly outnumbered.
