More detail on this person: Jesus J. "Joe" Ayala (class 69-12) passed away 1 Aug 2018 due to Parkinson's disease. CPT Ayala's tour in Vietnam was 69/70 with D/1/10 Cav, 4ID. He attended the Armor Advance Course and was later assigned to Ft Bragg serving as the Aeroweapons Plt Ldr in D Trp, 1/17 Cav. In Dec 1974 CPT Ayala resigned his commission and returned to his birth state of California. He continued flying with the San Diego PD, Air Support Div where he retired.
