More detail on this person: Jerald Dee Audiss of Enterprise, AL, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Southeast Health. He was 77. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Father Tom Nixon officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until service time. He also developed a remarkable skill in woodturning and woodworking, where his craftsmanship allowed him to create beautiful and intricate pieces that showcased his skill and dedication. Jerald also loved volunteering his time and talents with the Boy Scouts. He dedicated countless hours to building cabins and other structures. One of Jerald's proudest accomplishments was pursuing his dream of aviation. He often remarked that he never worked a day in his life once he started flight school, highlighting the sheer joy he derived from flying. Jerald was a Free Mason of The Grand Lodge of Alabama. He was also a Vietnam veteran. Jerald is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Ruth Olson Audiss and a brother Jack Audiss. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Myrtice (Mercy) Audiss, Enterprise, AL; two daughters, Carlotta Audiss; Vivianne Audiss (Brian Smith), Lanett, AL; two sons, Thor Audiss, Bolder, CO; Taliesen Audiss, Enterprise, AL; brother, Richard Audiss, Northfield, MN; two grandchildren, James and William; one great-grandchild, Torin.
