Benny James Archuleta passed away in Dallas August 6, 2005 due to cancer. A 21 year Army veteran, Benny spent two tours in Vietnam, the second as a Chinook pilot with A/159 ASHC during 1970-1971. He attended flight class 69-20. His A & D include three Bronze Stars, one w/V device, numerous Air Medals, Airborne Wings and Ranger Tab. He retired as a Major in 1981, returned to school, received a teaching certificate from UT-Austin and taught ROTC in Tyler and Dallas, TX.

Benny is survived by his wife Loana, sons James and Benny JR, stepsons Carlton and Andrew Frosch, stepdaughter Virginia Woody, his mother, four brothers, three sisters and six grand children. Benny was laid to rest in the DFW National Cemetary.
