More detail on this person: Kirk Oliver Adams of Poteet passed away June 6, 2017. He was born in Kansas to Harvey and Mary (Kirk) Adams. He was career military where he attended aviation and helicopter training schools. Kirk became a part of the Hot Wing Pilot Medical Transportation group and during the span of his career he earned the Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation, Vietnam Service metal with one silver star, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Aviator Badge, Air Medal, Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Bronze Star, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal along with several marksmanship medals. Kirk is preceded in death by his first wife Florence Jean (Bynum) Adams and his parents Harvey and Mary (Kirk) Adams. He is survived by his wife Mae (Ganus) Adams, his son Kirk D. Adams, and daughter Regina L. Adams Henninger.
