More detail on this person: On September 17, 2004, SCOTT AVERY, USMC (Ret.), passed gently from this life to the next, while in the tender care of hospice and with his sister, Dee-Anne standing by his side. He joins our precious parents who love him dearly. His family rejoices in that fact. Scott was a good man and ever will be a United States Marine. His daughter Jennifer; son-in-law Patrick; grandson Adam; sisters Kelly and Dee-Anne; brother-in-law Les; nephew Rick; niece Katie and grand-niece Emma will love him forever, as will his cat Spike and his many friends. A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, October 2, at 2 p.m. at Westover Baptist Church in Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, please be gentle, respectful and generous to any soul, human or animal, in need of care. In this way, you will honor Scott and carry on his legacy.Semper Fi Scott
