Hospital in Tuskegee, AL. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Art Bishop officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 until 6 p.m., according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus. Mr. Adair was born January 12, 1946 in Columbus, GA., son of Meredith Williams Adair, Columbus, and the late James H. Adair Sr. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of Vietnam. he was employed as a route salesman for a fire equipment company. He was a member of Sherwood Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Adair Vann and a niece, Holly Vann Remick. He is survived by his mother, Meredith Williams Adair of Columbus; niece, Leslie Vann Lazrovitch (Phillip) of Taylorsville, KY.; brother in law, Kenneth Vann, Smiths Station, AL. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Sherwood Presbyterian Church, 3100 15th Ave., Columbus 31904 or PAWS Columbus Adoption Center, 7110 Sacerdote Lane, Columbus, GA. 31907.
