Adams, Jr. departed this life on Friday, December
20, 2013. He was the son of the late Harry R.
Adams, Sr. and Louise Newman Adams. He was
born on April 21, 1949, in Fauquier County.
He attended Fauquier County Schools. After he
graduated, he joined the U.S. Army where he
served 20 plus years as an Army Pilot and retired
as a CW4. He was also a veteran of the Vietnam
war. After serving in the military, he became
employed by WMATA where he retired in 2011. He
was a former member of the Mt. Morris Baptist
Church, Hume, Va. where he was licensed as a
minister under Rev. Lindsay Green, Pastor of Mt.
Morris. In later years, he attended McLean Bible
Church in McLean, Va. where he participated in
various ministries.
Survivors include two children Holly Ferguson
(Shannon) of Manassas, Va. and Brook Adams of
Arlington, Va.; two brothers Dwight Adams (Dodie)
of Front Royal, Va. and Julian Foster (Mildred) of
Pennsylvania and four grandchildren (Shannon,
Hayley, Kennedy and Daren) and a host of other
relatives and friends. Harry is preceded in death
by one son Joshua Adams.
For those who knew Harry he always loved to talk.
In these past few years, he really enjoyed the
time he had with his family (especially
grandchildren) and his Mclean Bible Church group.
The trips to the beach were priceless. The
memories will last forever. God has received
another Angel. You will be truly missed!
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11
a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Mount
Morris Baptist Church, 5342 Leeds Manor Road,
Hume, Va. 22639.
A service will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. at
the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Morris
Community Cemetery, Hume, Va.
