A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Ryan Crosslin officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Harrison was born March 12, 1938, son of Emmett G. Atkins and Nannie Harrison Atkins. Harrison was a proud and distinguished Vietnam Veteran, retiring from the US Army as a Chief Warrant Officer 3. Following his service he worked and retired from Civil Service. Harrison was a Christian and a member of the VFW.

Harrison was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl K. Atkins. Survivors include his son, Billy J. Atkins; his daughters, Paula Rousch and husband Terry, Teresa Crosslin and her husband Tommy, and Anna Henderson and her husband Lenny; sister, Nancy Gaylor; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Grandsons, Aaron Rousch, Ray Neer, Larry Henderson, Lenny Henderson, Peep Crosslin, and Billy Atkins will serve as pallbearers.
