Aufderheide, age 65, passed on November 9, 2012
following a courageous battle with a brain lesion.
Born in 1947, he graduated from West High School
in Columbus, OH before marrying his high school
sweetheart Judith Eileen Martin of Hilliard, OH,
now wife of 46 years. He graduated from The Ohio
State University and entered the United States Air
Force spending 24 years flying helicopters,
airplanes and leading the Flight Simulator program
before retiring to work with Arinc and Alion
Scientific in Annapolis, MD. He was a wonderful
husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He was a 13 year member of The Annapolis HOG
Chapter in Annapolis, MD, and a member of the
Baltimore N-Scale Model Railroad Club. He is
survived by his wife, Judith Eileen Aufderheide;
daughter, Stacey (Mike) Selby; son, EJ (Kathryn)
Aufderheide; grandchildren, Lucas Selby, JD
Aufderheide, Hudson Aufderheide; mother, Alice
Allen (preceded by Richard); siblings, Ron
(Debbie) Aufderheide, Kathy (Dan) Donovan, Darren
(Diana) Allen, Bonnie (Pat) Bizzaro, Connie
(Martin) Burk, Karen Allen; and many nieces,
nephews and cousins. Ed was loved by everyone,
always had an opinion or joke to share, he enjoyed
watching movies and spending time with his family
and friends. Friends and relatives may pay a final
visit from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 14 at the
TIDD FUENRAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard,
OH 43026. A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m.
Thursday, November 15 to be followed by the burial
at Sunset Cemetery on West Broad Street.
