More detail on this person: CWO Rick Bente flew out of SocTrang from July 68-April '69. He was medivac'd to Camp Zulu in Japan then to Walter Reed, then to Ft. Devens, Mass. We divorced in 1973. As I grew older, I realized how little I understood the war, my husband, his dedication to his flying, his heroism...no everyone's heroism. What little recognition they received.

He graduated from Ft. Rucker the night Bobby Kennedy was shot...after he recovered we went back to Ft. Rucker. He got out in '71 with the rift....he ended up flying offshore for an Oil Company out of Houston...this was after we divorced.
