A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 1996, in Willamette National Cemetery for Barton Carney Bryant, who died Nov. 25 of cancer at age 49.

Mr. Bryant was born March 14, 1947, in Herrin, Ill. He was raised in Chicago, Heidelberg, Germany, and Peoria, Ill., where he graduated from Richwoods High School and was a member of Salem Lutheran Church. He attended Southwest Missouri State College and Oregon State University.

He served as a U.S. Army helicopter pilot in Vietnam and received a Bronze Star. He later worked for Campbell Air Service, Evergreen Helicopters, National Air Transport and Croman Corp.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemary; daughters, Jennifer and Jessica, both of McMinnville; son, Wade of McMinnville; parents, Jim and Dorothy Bryant of Fayetteville, N.C.; brother, Mike of Murphysboro, Ill.; and sister, June Stanton of Centralia, Ill.

The family suggests remembrances to Benton Hospice Service, P.O. Box 100, Corvallis, Ore. 97339. Arrangements are by DeMoss-Durdan Garden Chapel.
