More detail on this person: Wyman Udell Blakeman, 75, Jefferson City, died Feb. 10, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 18, 1926, in Edgerton, Kan., a son of Golder and Mabel Rohe Blakeman. He was married June 27, 1976, in Williston, N.D., to Marilyn Carlson, who survives at the home.

He was a graduate of Gardner High School, Gardner, Kan. He retired as a lieutenant colonel from the Marine Corps, serving in World War II and the Korean and Vietman wars. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman.

Survivors include: one son, John Blakeman, Simi Valley, Calif.; one daughter, Jill Foss, Solvang, Calif.; one stepson, Kevin Kreisa, Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Carroll Blakeman, Ottawa, Kan.; two sisters, Ruby Coday, Osage City, Kan., and Lavone Mann, Des Moines, Iowa; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Carl Gauck will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.

Arrangements are under the direction of Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
