More detail on this person: CWO Daniel Lee "Dan" Boyd was a good friend, awesome father, trusted colleague and wonderful husband. We will miss you Dad/Dan.

Dan was born Nov. 11th, 1946 in Macolmb, Illinois. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a Chief Warrant Officer who served his country proudly as a medi-vac helicopter pilot for the United States Army. He flew numerous missions and was awarded the Air Medal, the Bronze Star, and the Distinguished Flying Cross.

After serving his country Dan worked in power plants around the country before settling in Clemmons, where he worked for Essent Guaranty as Director of Application Development.

Dan was a lifelong biker, riding his Harley-Davidson to work most every day. He was an avid football fan and talented cook, with a great taste for food and fine spirits. He was also a serious computer geek who honestly enjoyed his job and the wonderful people he worked with. He was known for keeping a candy jar on his desk.

Dan is survived by his mother Ms. Dorothy P. Lyons of Silvis Illinois., his wife Rebecca Fox Boyd of Clemmons, daughter Andrea (Micah) Helms, son Ken (Melanie) Boyd, daughter Lori (Scott) Rawl, daughter Wendy (Jason) Henderson, daughter Deborah (Jay) James, and son David Boyd. He is also survived by his sisters Nancy Boyd, Mary Langlais, Kathy Whitney, his twelve grandchildren, and his one great grandchild.

Dan was predeceased by his father Mr. Paul J Boyd.
