More detail on this person: Robert Rollins Browne passed away on May 4, 2018 in Reno, Nevada after a long illness. "Bob" was born on September 25, 1945 to Robert E. and Catherine R. (Bertha Catherine Rollins) Browne in Kansas City, Kansas. He is survived by his wife, Laurie Nicolary-Browne (Lurline) of Reno; his son Aaron Browne (Dr. Stephen Lesh), of California; his sister Barbara Browne Gravlin (Mike Coss) of California; his brother William Browne (Linda), of Culver, Indiana; two nieces, one nephew, six grand-nieces and nephews, and six grand-children. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Linda K. Blasdel Browne. He was a 40+ year resident of Nevada and worked for many years in Carson City and Reno. He was known by his clients as an effective sales professional and as their own personal advocate in the auto sales ndustry. Bob served as a pilot in the 117th Aviation Helicopter Company, serving in-country in Vietnam from June 1967 to June 1968, and thereafter as a flight instructor. Bob's greatest joy in life was his family, and likewise, their great joy was in spending time with him. If you did not know his clever wit, and his wry, often brutally accurate, rapier sense of humor, you missed the brilliance of a master of comedic timing. If you were not lucky enough to have shared his musical artistry, you are merely left to imagine what those of us who knew him were privileged to share with him on a regular basis. There is no service planned at this time. Since Bob pampered the pets in his life, in lieu of flowers, the family would be honored to affirm his abiding love for animals with donations, in memory of Robert Browne toThe Nevada Humane Society, 2825 Longley Lane, Suite B, Reno, Nevada, 89502 (775) 856-2000 http://nevadahumanesociety.org/ Bob loved life. He was among the strongest of men. This great strength, combined with a gigantic heart for those in need served as an anchor point for all of us who cared for him. Our brother, father, husband, uncle and comrade has "gone west" to join those who have gone before. Published in Reno Gazette-Journal on May 16, 2018
