More detail on this person: ROBERTA - Funeral services for David R. Bailey, 56, of Roberta, will be held on Wednesday at 4 P.M. at Crawford County Board of Education Auditorium. Burial will follow in Roberta City Cemetery with full military rites. Mr. Bailey died at his home Sunday afternoon, February 1, 2004 after a long battle with cancer. After eleven years in public education, he had recently retired because of his illness. He was the Mayor of Roberta, serving his third term. David was a helicopter pilot and gave twenty years of service in the United States Army stationed in Vietnam (twice), Korea and Germany. He was an active member of the Lizella United Methodist Church. David was preceded in death by his parents, H.E. and Dollie Bailey.

Survivors include his wife, Pat McAfee Bailey of Roberta; daughters, Jenni and Katy Bailey; brothers, Charles (Jamie) Bailey and Bill (Ethel) Miller and brother-in-law, the Rev. Mike (Mildred) McAfee.
