More detail on this person: Funeral Services for CW4 Charlie Berryhill, age 83, of Ladonia, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday July 5, 2014, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bonham, TX., 1540 Hwy. 78. Bishop Cliff Abbott will officiate. Mr. Berryhill passed away on Monday June 30, 2014 at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham, TX. Acting as Pallbearers will be Berry Berryhill, Kyle Stark, Matt Hooper, Alan Berryhill, Ricky Berryhill and Jason Egan. Named as Honorary Pallbearers are Colonel Ivy, Tristan Egan, Rusty Davis and Alan Davis. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bonham, TX. Burial will be 2:30P.M. Tues., July 8, 2014 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX. with full U.S. Army funeral honors.

CW4 Charlie Berryhill was born on February 27, 1931 to Oscar Oneal and Ida Theresa (Hollub) Berryhill in Edna, TX. After high school he joined the Army and became a helicopter pilot. He married Ronda Ann Knox in the Military Chapel at Ft. Hood, TX on January 15, 1969. He served 36 years in the Army and retired as the highest ranking Warrant officer of the Army. During his career he proudly served in the Viet Nam war as a helicopter pilot. CW4 Berryhill was awarded several decorations including 27 air medals, the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Legion of Merit.

CW4 Berryhill is survived by his wife Ronda Ann of the home, daughter Ronda Davis and husband Rusty of Abilene, TX, son Barry Berryhill and wife Kora of Ladonia, TX, 3 grandchildren: Allen Davis, Charles Davis, and Daren Berryhill. He is further survived by 3 sisters: Melba Holburg of Wimberly, TX, Ema Thompson of Arizona and Bonnie Schlomach of Wichita Falls, TX along with numerous nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
