More detail on this person: William J. Barnes was born on November 1, 1950 and passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009. William was a resident of Peoria, Arizona at the time of his passing.

He graduated from Ogden High School in 1969.

Bill enlisted with the U.S. Army in November of 1969. Bill was a highly decorated helicopter pilot and member of the 1st Air Cavalry Division of the Army. The 1st Air Cavalry was one of the most decorated units during the Vietnam War. Bill was awarded the Silver Star, one of America�s highest military decorations for valor under enemy fire. Bill served his country with the Army for 20 years but spent his life as a patriot. He retired from the Army as a CW4 in 1990.
