More detail on this person: On January 2, 2019, G.R. Butler passed away at the age of 74. He was the beloved husband of Linda Butler; loving father of Megan Cassidy (Kevin) and Brett Butler (Christine); cherished grandfather of Victoria (2) and Blake Cassidy (9 mos.), and Avett Butler (4 mos.). Mr. Butler retired from the United States Army in 1989 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He continued to work for contractors of the Department of Defense for the next 20 years. Mr. Butler was most proud of his accomplished Military Service where he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, his loving grandchildren and beating his age on the golf course by shooting a 68 at the age of 72.
