More detail on this person: Mr. Paul E. Berube,
of Taunton, died Friday, November 11 in Tufts
Medical Center, Boston, surrounded by his loving
family, following a brief illness. He was the
beloved husband of Diane M. (Dusseault) Berube.
He was born 69 years ago in Fall River, the son of
the late Larry Berube and the late Marie P. (Wry)
Berube-Cataloni. Paul was educated in Taunton,
having graduated from the former St. Jacques
Grammar School and Msgr. James Coyle High
School. He attended Bentley College and received
an Associates Degree from the Mass. Bay
Community College. Prior to his retirement, he was
a self-employed small business owner, operating
Kitchen Concepts in Taunton for over 30 years. He
was previously employed at Wood-Hue Kitchens in
Bridgewater. Paul was a U.S. Army veteran of the
Vietnam War, having served as a helicopter pilot.
He was a member of the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots
Assoc. Paul was a loving and devoted husband,
father, grandfather, brother and friend. Playful
and kind, he was adored by all and took great joy
in helping others. The Berube home was always
open to a myriad of guests who were treated like
family, and Paul took great pleasure in sharing
his love of seafood and grilling. Paul was a true
patriot who was proud to serve his country and
honored to have lived his own American Dream. He
will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. He
was a communicant of the former St. Jacques
Church in Taunton. In addition to his wife, he
leaves: 1 son: Craig Berube and his wife,
Stephanie Czech of Rumford, R.I.; 1 daughter:
Michelle Ozcan and her husband, Can of Taunton; 1
brother: John Berube of Taunton; 3 sisters: Mary
Walsh of Assonet, Joan Shahdan and her husband,
Gerry of Assonet, and Lynn Rose and her husband,
Phil of No. Attleboro; 2 grandchildren: Kaihan and
Alex Ozcan, and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey
Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Friday,
November 18, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. A Prayer
Service will follow the Visiting Hours, Friday at
8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to
attend. Expressions of sympathy in his memory
may be made to Fisher House Boston, P.O. Box
