More detail on this person: Richard Beaver Obituary Richard C. Beaver passed away on Monday, Jan 27, 2025, from complications of Alzheimer's. He was born on Oct 1, 1946 to Buck and Virginia Beaver in Philadelphia. Rick grew up on the East coast and loved seafood. After high school and some college, he enlisted in the Army and was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. He received many metals, the most important to him being the Distinguished Flying Cross. After leaving the Army, Rick joined IBM as a Customer Engineer. He held many positions in IBM which included a move to Boulder in 1988. He later worked for Lockheed Martin. He met Janet (McNulty) at IBM and in 1998, along with her daughters, Erin and Laura, they became a family. Rick had previous marriages to Lee (Corrado) and Judy Beaver. Rick has 2 children, Rick Corrado and Cheri Corrado, from his marriage to Lee, 4 grandchildren Josie, Lanie, Biaggio, and LeiLie, as well as 1 great-grandson Benji. Rick has 5 siblings, Barb Beaver, Mike Beaver, Stephen Beaver, Sean Beaver, and Mary Beaver-Smathers. Rick was very proud of his service as a helicopter pilot and belonged to and volunteered with the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Assoc. He also volunteered at many other non-profits. He enjoyed helping other people and was very skilled at it. Rick enjoyed playing music, skiing, swimming, biking, hiking, golfing, and staying fit.
