More detail on this person: When Rick completed his active duty time he joined the National Guard amd retired as a CW4. He earned an engineering degree and worked for the Corps of Engineers, spending four years in Saudi Arabia and later retiring from NASA.

Survivors include his wife, Nina Yager Brunell: daughters, Carolyn Aycock, Stephanie Brunell and Kristin DeBonis and husband, Heath. Also included are three grandchildren, three sisters and mumerous nieces and nephews.

Rich Brunell was an active member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. He also was an active member of the North Alabama Chapter, Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association. He was looking forward to the Chapters project of restoring our UH-1C Huey.
