More detail on this person: Bobby Eugene Bogard passed away July 8, 2011 after a brave battle with ALS. He was most proud of his career as an Army Aviator with the Army Corps of Engineers. In his 21 years as a fixed wing and helicopter pilot, he had over 6,000 hours of flight time to his credit. Amount his military awards are a Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, Meritorious Service Medal, 2 Bronze Stars, 23 Air Medals and 3 Army Commendation Medals.
