More detail on this person: BROYARD, MICHAEL C. Born November 24, 1943 in Memphis, Tenn. Called to God Dec 21, 2014 after a lingering illness. Graduate of Christopher Columbus HS ,1961 and Notre Dame University 1965. Upon graduation he entered the Army. Following Helicopter flight training was deployed to Vietnam serving during and after the Tet Offensive. Was honorably discharged as Captain 1984. Following active duty he worked many years as an Aerospace Engineer for PAA/ EAL/AVITAS. Was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church Miami for 48 years where his parents were founding members. For the past 15 plus years he has been an active member of St. Martha Parish in Miami Shores. He was a Lector, member of the choir and regular sponsor of events, particularly the St. Martha Yamaha Concert Series, part of his love and wider patronage of the arts. His generosity was seen in the church renovations, most notably, his always ready help for the needy. Preceded in death by parents Charles and Eurydice Broyard of New Orleans, La.. Survived by his brothers Charles L. of Miami and Thomas O. and niece Ella Jennifer of Bountiful, Utah. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Martha Food Bank or the St. Martha Yamaha Concert Series. Visitation will be held at the Gregg L. Mason Funeral Home, 10936 NE 6th Ave. Miami Shores, 33161 on Friday Jan. 9th,2015 from 6:00 to 9:00pm and a Memorial Mass at St. Martha Catholic Church, 9301 Biscayne Blvd. Saturday Jan. 10th at 1:30pm. A reception will follow immediately after in the church atrium.
