More detail on this person: Capt. Emmett Lee Bryant, USA (Ret) passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020. Funeral services for family will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel, with full military honors. Rev. Jeff Holcomb will officiate. Burial will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. Mr. Bryant, the son of the late Ervin James Bryant and Thelma Wiggins Koler was born August 7, 1941, in Brushy Mills, Missouri. He was retired from the United States Army, serving during Vietnam, flying Huey Helicopters, having 1200 flight times in Vietnam and 1160 flight times in the United States and was awarded numerous medals during his military career. He also was retired from the Georgia Army National Guard. Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife, Janet Bryant of Forsyth; children, Chris Bryant (Elizabeth) of Forsyth, Sherry Lee Bryant of Forsyth and Adam Ashley Bryant of Warner Robins; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Wounded Warrior Project, Post Office Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
