More detail on this person: Doctor Robert David Bloing passed away in the early hours of Tuesday morning, April 4, at his home in Lexington, South Carolina. Dr. Bloing was born in Flint, Michigan on March 17, 1948. He served in Vietnam for two years as an MP and helicopter pilot. Upon returning home, he became a police office in the Flint City Police Department, where he served for fifteen years. After retiring from the police department, he returned to school and earned his doctorate in anesthesiology. He practiced anesthesia in Hampton County, South Carolina and then in Albany, Georgia. When he retired, he returned to South Carolina. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Love Bloing, and his children, Matthew, Makenzie, Andrew, and his step-son Jacob Levin (Stephanie Brady Levin) of New Jersey; his sister Mari Bloing-Hart (William Bert Hart) of South Carolina and his brother Donald Martin Bloing of Michigan. Services will be Saturday, April 8, at 11am at Barr-Price Funeral Homes, 609 Northwood Road Lexington, South Carolina. Please let us know if you would like to say a few words.
