Boysen, 76, of San Diego, Calif., formerly of
Dike, died Wednesday, April 5.
He was born June 28, 1929, in Dike, son of Herbert
and Edna Boysen. He married Shirley Siem in
1952, and she preceded him in death in 1981. He
then married Martha Patterson in San Diego.
He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1947
and served as a chief warrant officer in Korea and
in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. Mr. Boysen
retired from the military in 1975.
Survived by: his wife; a son, Chris of Salado,
Texas; four grandchildren; two brothers, Harlan
(Norma) of Waterloo and James (Peggy) of San
Diego; and four sisters, Vera Scroggy of Aurora,
Colo., Melba Merrill and Doris (Robert) Blake,
both of San Diego, and JoAnn (Roger) Hansen of
Hampton.
Preceded in death by: a brother, Dale.
Services: and burial will take place in Salado.
