More detail on this person: Carl C. Busdiecker February 16, 1930 ~ April 14, 2021 (age 91) Carl C Busdiecker, 91, entered his heavenly home on April 14, 2021 in Tampa FL. Carl was one of four children, older brother George Busdiecker Jr and two younger twin sisters, Velma and Selma Busdiecker. He was the last of his immediate family. They are now reunited and rejoicing with our Savior. Carl was born on February 16, 1930 in Ohio to the late George and Lucille Busdiecker. He lived his young life in Santa Anna California and graduated from the University of Arizona. He loved theatre and won many acting awards. He was drafted into the Army in the 1950's and became an aviator. He received many military honors and rose in the ranks to become a Colonel. Carl flew aircraft in the Vietnamese and Korean Wars transporting soldiers in and out of battle. He was a true hero. Carl was the most gracious man. He was very smart, kind, and considerate. He had a wonderful personality and he loved to joke and have fun. He enjoyed working in the yard with his wife, and he was an avid reader. Carl loved animals and had many dogs in his life. He leaves behind Keeley, a beloved dog he and his wife rescued. Keeley and Carl loved to walk down the street and greet the neighbors. Carl married Marcie Kearns and were together for 56 years. They traveled and lived in many states and overseas. Marcie was the love of his life and preceded his death in 2019. Carl is survived by his daughter Carla Card of Tampa FL. His oldest daughter Judith Tedders preceded him. Carl has been blessed with four grand children and six great grandchildren in Florida and Georgia. He has nieces and nephews in California and the Kearns Family in North Carolina. He was loved by many and was instantly adored by anyone who met him. We say farewell and salute a wonderful brother, uncle, husband, father and "Paw Paw." Until we meet again_ A time to greet friends will be from 1:00pm until 2:30pm. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive in High Point. This time will be followed by a graveside service at 3:00pm at Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point.
