More detail on this person: Ronald Shephard Briones, 74, of North East, MD, died Friday, August 3, 2007 in the Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD.

Born in Seattle, WA, on September 19, 1932, he was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelio and Ethel Shepard Briones.

Ron enjoyed Lapidary, golf, gardening, cooking, grilling, fishing and most of all his family. He was an Aviator in the U.S. Army, from 1953 to 1973. He served 1 tour of duty in Korea, and 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired from the Army after 20 years of service as a lieutenant colonel. He entered Civilian service with the National Guard Bureau and retired after 25 years of service in 2002.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Nancy S. Briones; sons, Charles and wife, Ella Briones, and Daniel Briones; daughter, Lisa Hall and husband, Randy; granddaughter, Jamie Holland and husband, Dan.

Friends may call Tuesday, August 7, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Wednesday, August 8, 2007 from l:00 p.m., where the Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m., at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. CH (COL) Wm. Sean Lee will officiate. Interment with full military honors will be in North East, Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to American Diabetes Association, Att: Memorial Contributions, P.O. Box 1131, Fairfax, VA 22038-1131.
