Booterbaugh, 63, of Rogers, Ark., died Tuesday,
Oct. 29, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers.
He was born Nov. 29, 1938, in Scottdale, Pa., to
Robert Booterbaugh and Floella Dillon Booterbaugh.
He married Nell Ball in 1959 in Virginia. He was
an Episcopalian. In 1979, he retired to Rogers
from Fort Monmouth, N.J., after 20 years in the
U.S. Army, serving once in Korea and twice in
Vietnam. He served as a helicopter pilot in the
Signal Corps, achieved the rank of captain and
received several medals for valor. Most recently,
he worked as a real estate appraiser in Benton
County, Ark. He was a member of the International
Association of Appraising Officers. He served as
an umpire with the American Softball Association
and with Little League.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Ball
Booterbaugh, in 1991.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law,
Thoma "Tammy" Booterbaugh, and Heather Barham
and Carroll Barham, all of Rogers; a brother and
sister-inlaw, Pete Booterbaugh and Alice
Booterbaugh of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sisters
and a brother-in-law, Marie Sills and Cecil Sills
of Centerville, Va., and Martha Mohr of Front
Royal, Va.; a grandson, Johnny Paul Barham of
Rogers; and his mother-in-law, Thoma Ball of
Rogers.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday,
Nov. 3, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov.
4, at the Callison-Lough Chapel with Pastor Red
Dixon.
Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at
the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark.
