More detail on this person: Ellis "Buzz" Brabec was born on May 18 1934 in Colorado and passed in April 2019 in Cameron, North Carolina. He served two tours in Vietnam, flying H-21s in 1963 in the 121st Aviation Company and Chinooks with the 178th in 1966-67 at both Phu Loi and Chu Lai. Enlisted Air Crew remember him as a super pilot who could be hilarious and deadly serious at the same time. He refused to wear combat boots when flying...sporting shiny black Wellington boots in the cockpit. I can still hear his voice on the intercom yelling "They're still coming baby" (which meant , " don't stop shooting" and "you guys might want to hang on to something back there!" Which meant something fun was about to happen!" He attended one reunion, 1994 in St. Louis. Bill Sly and Dean Nelson visited him at his home Cameron, NC in 2010.
