Baldwin Retired U.S. Army, 77, of Fairview
Heights, Ill., born April 18, 1933, in Mokane,
Mo., died on Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at St. Louis
University Medical Center, St. Louis, Mo.
Mr. Baldwin was a veteran of the United States
Army, serving as a helicopter pilot in the Vietnam
War where he was awarded the Bronze Star for
meritorious service. He was a helicopter mechanic
for St. Louis County Police Department and
Fostaire Helicopters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas
Leon and Conzle, nee Adams, Baldwin; and his two
sisters, Violet Maddox and Conza Mae Bess.
Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years, Seda,
nee Megerdichian, Baldwin of Fairview Heights,
Ill.; his three daughters, Janet (Chuck) Fiske of
O'Fallon, Ill., Maxine (Charles) Swarts of
Westchester, Ill., and Tiffany (Lew Thomasino)
Baldwin of Fairview Heights, Ill.; five
grandchildren, Josie and Jared Fiske, Charlie
Swarts, and Silas and Gemma Thomasino; a sister,
Laurene Rose of Richmond, Va.; a great uncle,
Clyde Garman of Phoenix, Ariz., and many loving
nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and
friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to
USO, Salvation Army, or to Holy Shohaghat
Armenian Church, Swansea, Ill. Tributes may be

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on
Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at Lake View Funeral
Home.
Funeral: Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m.
on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at the funeral home.
Upon Mr. Baldwin's wishes, cremation was to be
held.
