More detail on this person: CPT. THOMAS BASS U.S. Army, Retired Captain Thomas A. Bass, U.S. Army First Calvary (ret.), of Henderson, was born Dec. 7 1941, and passed away Feb. 20, 2014. He was a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War, and was awarded two Distinguished Flying Crosses, three Bronze Stars, the U.S. Army Commendation medal and Air medal. He passed away with family and friends around, his wife Gerallene; son, Kreg Vanstralen; stepchildren, Wallace Walker; Patricia Estes; two grandchildren, Matthew Estes and Chelsea Vanstralen. The family wishes to thank the va clinic's and hospital for their kindness and support. Per his request, no services are scheduled.
