More detail on this person: Robert J Bifano died tragically on August 29, 2004, in Afghanistan, working for Dyncorp International as Deputy Manager of the International Police Training program for all of Afghanistan. Robert was a retired Major from the United States Army with over 20 years of service. He served two tours in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. Friends may call at the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, 125 Hillside Ave., New Hyde Park, NY, Thursday, 2-5 and 7-9:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at Our Lady of the Snows Church in Floral Park. Interment will take place at Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery in Flushing, NY.
