More detail on this person: DONALD WAYNE BORTON, 77, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, at his home. Born Oct. 3, 1943, in Wauseon, Ohio, he was the son of the late George and Noreen (Rathbun) Borton. Don's mother died during his childhood, and he was later adopted by George's second wife, June (Suleski) Borton. Donald served his country as a U.S. Army helicopter pilot in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. He was an avid watcher and player of golf--a frequent visitor to his favorite course at McMillen Park. Don is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jane (Drauer) Borton; sons, Anthony (Beth Iserman) Borton and Patrick (Lisa) Borton; and daughter, Angela (Sean Monckton) Borton. He also is survived by siblings, Barbara Galvin of Archbold, Ohio, and Mark (Julie) Borton of Wauseon, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Hank, Mathilda and Kerry Jo. Don was preceded in death by his father, George Borton; mother, June; and three brothers, Ronald Borton, Edward Borton and David Borton.
