Brown, Sr., 79, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2008 at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church with Reverend Larry Barksdale officiating. Interment will be held at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery with full military honors according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Rt. Lt. Col. Paul H. Brown, Sr. was born July 13, 1929 in Minneapolis, MN son of the late Carl Brown and Mildred Brown. He flew fixed wing and helicopters in the United States Army. He served during The Korean Conflict and served two tours in Vietnam. Hewas preceded in death by his wife, Renate Walther Brown. Survivors include his children, Sydney Davis of Columbus, GA, Kristen Mathis (Mike) of Chattsworth, GA, Paul H. Brown, Jr. of Columbus, GA, Michael W. Brown of Columbus, GA, Eric Nelson (Gina) of Columbus, GA, Linda Grot (John) of Columbus, GA and Gary Nelson (Jan) of Bradenton Beach, FL, siblings, Carl Brown of Minneapolis, MN, Bill Brown of Laguna Woods, CA, Joyce DeWolf of Minneapolis, MN and Georgene Buckley of Laguna Woods, CA, and eight grandchildren.
