More detail on this person: CW3 (Ret.) William A. Baylor, joined his wife, Alice, and sons, Steven and William, in eternal rest Monday, April 18, 2005 at the age of 77. Born in Pennsylvania, Bill was an Army veteran, having served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. During his 22 year career, he earned many decorations,including two Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart, and four Distinguished Flying Medals as a Helicopter pilot. An active member of VFW Post 2059 in Kirby, Bill retired to San Antonio in 1968, and spent many years as a valuable member of the community. Bill is survived by his son, Bob; his loving companion, Olga; his brothers, Don, Ron and Tom; and his sisters, Ann, Alice, and Nancy. All those who knew Bill are saddened by his passing, but will always glory in the way he touched their lives. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemtery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest donations to the American Cancer Society, or American Heart Association.
