More detail on this person: Col. John Neill Bradshaw, Sr., U.S. Army, Ret., 79, son of James 0. and Ada Lee Livingston Bradshaw, died Sept. 30, 2005, in Loma Linda, CA. Col. Bradshaw was a native of Covington with a military career that spanned 33 years. He began his service in 1943 as an enlisted Marine, and later received his commission in the U.S. Army. During his military career he served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam, retiring from service at Ft. McPherson, GA, in 1979. Surviving Col. Bradshaw are his sons and daughters-in-law, John Neill (Jr.) and Jennifer Bradshaw of LaQuinta, CA, Jeff and Leigh Bradshaw of Redlands, CA; grandchildren, Ian Neill Bradshaw, Chelsea Leigh Bradshaw; sisters, Frances Miniard of Monticello, KY, Elizabeth Thomson of Elgin, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services for Col. Bradshaw will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at Bethany Presbyterian Church, Covington, with Rev. Russell McKee, officiating, and interment in Covington City Cemetery, with Masonic graveside rites and. full military honors. Family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 6, from 5-8 p.m. at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, Covington, GA.
