More detail on this person: Charles Michael "Mike" Baily (USA Ret.) died on Saturday, November 3, 2001. LTC Baily was a 1966 graduate of the United States Military Academy. He served two combat tours in Vietnam before earning a Ph.D from Duke University. He was a member of the U.S. Army Staff and the U.S. Mission to NATO. LTC Baily served as an instructor at both U.S.M.A. and the National War College. LTC Baily worked as a Defense Analyst for Coleman Research Corp. and was author of the book, "Faint Praise: American Tanks & Tank Destroyers During World War II". Surviving are his wife, Tamora Baily, and children, Ellen L. Bertanzetti and 1Lt. Michael D. Baily, USAF; mother, Helen Baily Wall and siblings, Beth Hill, Everett Baily, Eldon Baily and Carl Baily. Funeral services will be Friday, November 30, at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Sydenstricker Unted Methodist Church, 8508 Hooes Rd. in Springfield. Interment with Full Military Honors at Arlington National Cemetery will follow at 3 p.m. Friends are asked to gather at the Administration Buuilding no later than 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 124 Park St. S.E., P.O. Box 699, Vienna, VA 22183. Arrangements by DEMAINE.
