More detail on this person: CPT US ARMY VIETNAM Theodore Dixon Beam, 73, of Jacksonville, entered the arms of Jesus on May 6, 2018. He was born in Charlotte, NC to Roland and Louise Beam. After graduating from Clemson University, he entered the Army where Captain Beam served his country in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot followed by the prestigious position of flying high-ranking officials in Washington, DC. In 1972, he married his wife, Jo-Anne, at Arlington National Cemetery Chapel. Following their wedding, they moved to Anderson, SC where Ted began his 32-year career with Owens-Corning Fiberglas. In Anderson, they had their two children. Ted and Jo-Anne moved to Jacksonville, where Ted spent the rest of his life working for OCF and serving others and his beloved church. Ted is predeceased by his parents and his brother, Roland, and is survived by his wife, Jo-Anne (Quackenbush) Beam, his children, Jennifer (Lou) Sicilian and David (Ashley) Beam, and his four grandchildren, Brewer, Maddox, Deuce, and Kenzie. A celebration of Ted's life will be held on Thursday, May 10, at 11:00 at Lakewood United Methodist Church, 6133 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville. A luncheon reception will follow at the church. Our thanks to the numerous people who poured love into Ted's life, especially during the past 6 years.
