More detail on this person: OGDEN - Lynn Richard Bennett, 59, returned to live with our Heavenly Father Friday, October 31, 2003 from complications due to ALS.

Rick was born in Ogden on May 26, 1944 to John Kenneth and Velda Bennett.

He was reared and educated in Ogden, graduating from Ogden High School in 1962. Rick loved to learn and did so until the end. He was able to complete his second Bachelor"s degree in Electrical Engineering from Weber State University this past spring.

Rick met his wife Carolyn Black in Savannah, Georgia. They were married on September 15, 1970 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The were blessed with six children.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving a mission in Australia.

Rick served his country in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot. In addition to being a beloved husband, father, and friend, he was a jeweler who owned and operated Richard"s Mfg. Jewelry for the last 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, his mother, his children, Lynn (Alex) Correa; Lori Bennett, Michele Bennett, David Bennett, Mark (Anna) Bennett; and Todd Bennett and five grandchildren who loved their Papa, Kazia, Jasper, Auriane, Eliza and Maijlynn.

Rick is also survived by his sister, Jean (Bill) Robins and his brother Bob (Noleen) Bennett.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Kenneth Bennett and his brother, Ronald Lewis Bennett.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 11 a.m. at the North Ogden Ben Lomand 4th Ward Chapel, 3352 North 1050 East, North Ogden.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist"s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd., and at the Ward Chapel on Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Lindquist"s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

The family would like to express their love and gratitude to his nurses and aids from Odysee Hospice, Sylvia, SheNae, Josh and Marge Fox for all of their love and help and his ward family from the North Ogden Ben Lomand 4th Ward.
