More detail on this person: Rocco D. Bianchi, 67, of the 4300 block of Sea Chest Road, a retired colonel and schoolteacher, died May 22, 1992, in a hospital.

He was born in Revere, Mass., and retired from the Marine Corps after 32 years. He taught at Hermitage, Shelton Park, and Thoroughgood elementary schools. He was a member of the Retired Officers Association, a graduate of Old Dominion University, and was a Roman Catholic.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Wilson Bianchi; a daughter, Christine A. Bianchi of Santa Ana, Calif.; two sons, Lorrey J. Bianchi of Boston and Gary J. Bianchi of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Violet Dellert of Greeley, Pa., and Arlene Degregorio of Revere; eight brothers, Patrick Bianchi of Pompano Beach, Fla., Albert Bianchi of Chesapeake, Salvatore Bianchi of Malden, Mass., Anthony Bianchi, George Bianchi, Robert Bianchi and Joseph Bianchi, all of Revere, and John Bianchi Jr. of Somerville, Mass; and two grandchildren.

A Joyful Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday with full military honors in Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base Chapel. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. A Christian wake service will be held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road, at 5 p.m. Monday.
