COMMANDER OF SQD. 302 Major Gordon H. Buckner, Oxford, Ohio, as a Naval Reserve Officer Candidate. He was commissioned a second lieutenant on June 7,1954 when he entered the Marine Corps. During his tour in the Republic of Vietnam, Major Buckner commanded Marine COL Gordon H Buckner

Air Base Squadron -36. Before coming to the air facility he flew with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron-362 in Vietnam. He was born Aug. 6. 1932 in St. Clair, Michigan to Mr. and Mrs. Gordon H.
