More detail on this person: Paul was born in Savannah, Missouri, on September 26, 1941, the son of Leslie and Oda Burgess. Paul went to be with his Lord on November 9, 2015.

He is preceded in death by his parents and five brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Pattie; five children - Kelly, Mark, Megan, Gregory, and Michael; twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and sisters - Faye and Judy.

He served the United States with distinction as a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War earning two Purple Hearts, The Distinguished Flying Cross and The Bronze Star, among his many citations. After leaving the service, he attended Texas Christian University, earning a degree in computer science. Paul found a career in the oil industry where he put his degree to use until he retired in the late 1990's.

Services will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home at 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd, Rosenberg, Texas 77471. Viewing and family visitation will begin at noon.
