More detail on this person: WAYNE THOMAS BAILEY, 56, a Colorado Springs resident, died Dec.
18, 2001, in Englewood of a brain aneurysm. He was a retired Army aviator. He served in the Army for
241/2 years, participated in the Vietnam and Persian Gulf wars, and attained the rank of lieutenant
colonel.
Mr. Bailey was born July 17, 1945, in Meridian, Miss., to Louis Joseph and Claudia Mae (Sing)
Bailey, who are deceased. He was married Nov. 23, 1987, to Tina Solis.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Thomas Solis Bailey; a daughter, Michelle Solis Bailey; two
brothers, Louis Joseph Jr. and Charles Patrick; and three sisters, Mary Evelyn Romero, Teresa Ann
LaBiche and Kathryn Marie Powell.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, with a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Shrine of
Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10
a.m. Thursday at the Air Force Academy Community Center Chapel. A graveside service will be at 1:30
p.m. Thursday at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wayne T. Bailey Memorial Fund to be used for Thomas'
and Michelle's education, in care of ENT Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 15819, Colorado Springs
80935.
