More detail on this person: Edward Henry Bauerband Jr., 72, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 22, 1930, in Elizabeth, N.J. A resident for 11 years, he served in the office of the Army chief of staff, was a Korean War and Vietnam War Army veteran and was a Quiet Birdman.

He is survived by two sons, Stephen R. Bauerband of Miami and Scott E. Bauerband of Garnerville, N.Y.; one sister, Audrey Weber of Fort Ludlow, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will 2 p.m. Friday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
