More detail on this person: Helicopter accident flying Hughes 500 in Virgin Islands due to an engine failure. This is my brother. The date of his death was Friday October 19, 1984. He was flying for a photographer and friend to shoot a sailboat. As they finished shooting and Steve was pulling up at a sharpe angle, one of the main rotor blades broke off. They said if he had been banked in the oposite direction, he could have hovered back down.
