It grieves me to announce the death of our fellow
shipmate and good friend, Captain Charles
Borgstrom. A short while ago, Captain Borgstrom's
daughter Carole called me with the sad news. He
died at approximately 1815 hours EST on 2 July
2001 after being in a coma since last Friday. I
informed both Carole and Mrs. Betty Borgstrom that
I would be notifying all those for whom I have an
e-mail address. Carole requested that I provide
all of you with her e-mail address. It is:

Today our country lost an outstanding Naval
Officer, a highly respected civic leader and a
great human being. We all lost a good friend.
