More detail on this person: Bobby G. Briggs, 53, of Hot Springs, a retired lieutenant colonel, died Monday. Briggs was a member of First Christian Church, Hot Springs, the U.S. Army Ranger Association, the Order of the Purple Heart, and had received many military medals and awards. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the First Christian Church by the Revs. Bill Bradley and Gary House. Burial with full military honors will be in Crestview Cemetery by Hot Springs Funeral Home. Survivors are his wife, Evonne Briggs; a son, Stephen M. Briggs of Jackson, N.C.; a daughter, Ranee E. Ross of Ventura, Calif.; his mother, Connie Briggs of Hot Springs; a sister, Carolyn Sain of Little Rock; and three grandchildren.
