Burford Jr. of Aurora, an Internal Revenue Service
employee, died June 9. He was 56.
Memorial services were at the Presbyterian Church
of the Covenant, Denver. There was cremation.
He was born Aug. 19, 1943, in Fort Sill, Okla. He
graduated from Auburn University in 1967.
He served two tours as an Army helicopter pilot
during the Vietnam War.
He married Nina Cox.
He worked for the IRS for 27 years. His interests
included the outdoors, mountain biking, hiking,
camping, politics and science.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Nathan C.
and Jacob B., all of Aurora; a sister, Jeanie
Johnson, Germantown, Tenn.; and three brothers,
Boyd, Auburn, Ala., Wade, Columbus, Ga., and
Scott, Winter Park, Fla.
